Extreme R.P.S. is a physical tabletop game, built and playtested by our family over more than a decade. It's launching soon on Kickstarter, alongside a family-friendly sci-fi story universe told through choose-your-own-path novellas.

The Three Domains

One Solar System. One Fragile Peace.

Every Domain has its own Ambassador, its own economy, and its own reasons not to trust the other two. The nested sign system mirrors the politics — every claim is a small act of Cold War diplomacy.

Rock · Mars

Rock Base IV

Mining outpost, Olympus Mons

An Earthling-run Red Salt mining project, officially permitted by Mars — but still standing on Martian ground, and still answering to Martian rules.

Paper · Earth

Paper Realm

What Martians call Earth

Home turf for the Ambassadors' oldest grudges, and the source of the one thing Mars can't grow: paper. The trade that started the whole fragile peace.

Scissors · Neutral

Scissors Space Station

Joint Martian & Earthling territory

Martian technology, Earthling-operated — built as neutral ground for a peace that both sides are still deciding whether they actually want.

Extreme R.P.S. full tabletop spread: game board, rulebook, character cards, and colored translucent claim tokens.

Where This Started

A Schoolyard Question, Thirty Years Later

In the 80's, our founder attended Jr. and Sr. High School in Trinidad & Tobago, where the schoolyard version of Rock Paper Scissors had a fourth option: Dynamite. It could blow up Rock, but Scissors could snip its fuse — and you could never use Paper and Dynamite in the same battle. Curious, but not something anyone thought much more about at the time.

Decades later, in Calgary, his son came home from school with a different added symbol and the same question: how does this all fit together? That question became a family project — first a bigger rule set, then characters, then a whole universe — built and rebuilt at the kitchen table for over ten years before it ever had a name.

This is our family's gift to yours.
